Meet UK Chasers Veteran Gilbert “ We have owned Gilbert for almost 16 years and he is stabled in North London. The hacking around here is somewhat limited and we have found it extremely valuable to be able to take him to UK Chasers courses over the years and ‘have a blast’ in safety off the roads. Our favourite UK Chasers course is Shardeloes Farm in Amersham. We have always found it excellently maintained as well as being very beautifully located. In recent years, Gilbert has enjoyed accompanying young horses round the course at a rather more sedate pace than in his younger days! Gilbert was a mere 24 years old in the picture I enclose of him trying out the new water complex at Shardeloes with David. It has been a really sad decision to have to retire him at 26 but we will always treasure our memories of the fun we had with UK Chasers.” Alison & David Jolley

"I felt I really must tell you about my experiences at Craven Country Ride at Consiton Cold. The course is excellent and David who runs the course always ensures everyone feels very welcome. A couple of years ago I had enjoyed a couple of hours on the ride only to discover on my return to my truck that it had developed an oil leak. I though it was going to be a major disaster but David generously gave of his time (and his oil) to get me sorted so I could get back home safely. It was an act of kindness which was really appreciated and is just very typical of David himself .. if you have ever thought about going or would like to but have never plucked up the courage - DO IT!! You won't regret it and if you are a bit unsure David will point out all the starter fences out there..." Dee Chamberlain
